August 9. Monthly meeting at the Spot Cafe in Marsing at 6 pm. Our guest speaker will be Stan Olson http://www.olsonforidaho.com/, candidate for State Superintendent of Schools. Teachers and parents will be especially interested to hear what Stan has to say, so pass the word to your friends.
August 11-14. Owyhee County Fair, Homedale. The Owyhee Democrats will have a booth at the fair. We are looking for volunteers to staff the booth in 3-hour shifts (11-2, 2-5, and 5-8). If you can volunteer, please contact Pam Roylance: pamracyhorse@speedyquick.net If you can’t volunteer, please stop by and visit the booth when you are at the fair.
August 29. Mark your calendar for a fun afternoon/evening. Congressman Walt Minnick and other candidates will be at the Sandbar Park in Marsing to discuss issues of concern with Owyhee County residents, starting at 3 pm. The Spot Cafe will have food available at the event, and immediately following the event, there will be a concert featuring Ian McFerron http://ianmcferon.com/. Folks who purchase food at the Dem picnic will get free admission to the concert, which begins at 6 pm. More details later.
Our Mission
The Owyhee County Democrats are dedicated to electing Democratic candidates at all levels. We do that by identifying Democratic voters, energizing those Democrats through events and activities, and then turning them out at the polls on Election Day.
We are a diverse group of citizens from all over the county. Our goals are to recruit and promote local Democratic candidates, to network with other Democrats in Owyhee County, and to promote and share ideas about bringing positive change to our country.
